Job Description
The successful candidate will work with Dr Jieshun Lin on Presidential Young Professorship under a project on Maximizing Biological Nitrogen Fixation Across Environmental Conditions.
The main responsibilities of the position include:
- conduct experiments
- supervise students
- accomplish lab jobs
- present in scientific meeting and conferences
- write manuscripts and proposals.
Qualifications
Ph.D in Plant Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Cell Biology, or a related field.
Skills:
- Expertise in single nuclei sequencing (snRNA-seq, snATAC-seq) molecular cloning, protein-DNA and protein-protein interactions (ChIP, IP-MS, Y2H).
- Proficiency in plant transformation, CRISPR genome editing, or related genetic engineering techniques are desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent scientific writing and communication skills, with a track record of peer-reviewed publications.
Experience:
- Strong background in single nuclei RNA sequencing, plant genetics and molecular biology, preferably with experience working on multi single nuclei sequencing approaches.
- Experience in plant single nuclei sequencing, including RNA, ATAC and ChIP sequencing.
- Proficiency in cell biology techniques such as confocal microscopy, histological staining, and protein localization studies.
- Familiarity with genetic analysis, including construct design and making, genotyping, and functional characterization of genes is advantageous.
