Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to join the Next Generation Ammonia Engine project. The successful candidates will be involved in the design of the high-efficiency ammonia engine and the advanced engine laboratory. Major duties and responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for establishing the ammonia engine test benches and in-house control system.
  • Establish high-pressure constant-volume combustion vessel and conduct optical experiments.
  • Develop ammonia-diesel reaction kinetic mechanism, and develop high-fidelity 3D-CFD engine simulation platform coupled with detailed chemical kinetic mechanisms.
  • To supervise/mentor undergraduate and graduate students that work in the lab.

Qualifications

The candidate must have:

  • PhD in Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong stills and publications in advanced optical diagnosis, engine bench tests, chemical kinetic mechanisms development and 3D-CFD simulations.
  • Excellent experience in establishing engine test bench and developing in-house engine control.
  • Experience and ability in leading a team to establish ammonia fuel engine.
  • Excellent track record of publications in prestigious journals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
