Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for conducting research and development on AI-powered security infrastructure for smart contracts and on-chain finance for the Mando project (https://mandoscan.com/). Successful candidate will be part of an active research team led by Prof. Lingxiao Jiang from School of Computing and Information Systems (SCIS), Singapore Management University (SMU).
Candidate's Core Responsibilties Are
- This position is for School of Computing and Information Systems (SCIS).
- Develop and customize code analysis and AI models for smart contract vulnerability detection and bug repair.
- Develop and customize agentic workflows that integrate vulnerability detection, repair, simulation testing into smart contract development processes.
- Design and develop web apps that demonstrate the above capabilities for real users.
- Read research papers, implement related methods and techniques, and conduct experiments to evaluate various techniques and methods.
- Document all the studies, including implementation code and evaluation results, write research papers for potential publication at reputable venues, and make presentation to relevant stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or closely related disciplines from a reputable institution of higher learning; with particular focus on cybersecurity, software engineering, or deep learning.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant software research or development experience in smart contracts or AI or security.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Javascript, or Solidity will be required
- Proven track record and professional experience in full-stack webapp development, software testing/fuzzing, vulnerability detection, quality assurance, system integration and maintenance.
- Demonstrated experience and know-how on agentic workflows, DevOps, project management.
- Good technical skills in Ethereum blockchain, Solidity smart contracts, compilers, program analysis, deep neural networks, graph learning, AI models, and API development.
- Ability to break down complex problems and design effective solutions.
- Innovating new approaches and thinking outside the box.
- Applicants with research publications in software engineering, cybersecurity, or AI area will be advantageous.
- Ability to work cooperatively as part of a small, agile academic research team is essential.
- Self-motivated individual who can work independently and collaboratively with team members.
