Job Descriptions:

Using levitation, we aim to isolate and control physical systems with unprecedented precision. The rapidly evolving field of levitodynamics explores how such systems can be used as quantum sensors and for testing fundamental physics. Most current levitated systems are limited to small masses (nano/microgram) and rely on incoherent optical interactions, which scatter rather than reflect light.

By leveraging platforms such as diamagnetic, superconducting, and optical levitation, we aim to create ultra-precise quantum sensors and explore profound questions in physics, including quantum collapse mechanisms and quantum gravity.

The successful candidate will contribute to activities such as:

. Modeling the dynamics of levitated systems.

. Learning to operate advanced cryogenic systems.

. Designing, constructing, and characterizing optical systems.

. Exploring novel techniques to exceed the standard quantum limit using correlated spin systems.

Key Responsibilities:

. Modeling: simulate the dynamics of magnetically and optically levitated systems.

. Fabrication: Develop advanced materials and components for levitation systems.

. System Design: Build and test optical systems and feedback-control mechanisms.

. Research & Innovation: Investigate groundbreaking applications in quantum sensing and fundamental physics.

Job Requirements:

. Bachelor/Master degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Precision Instrumentation, or related fields.

. Strong motivation for multidisciplinary research in quantum technologies and fundamental physics.

. Experience in one or more of the following is highly preferred:

Superconductivity

Quantum sensing

Cryogenic systems

Feedback-control systems

Optical systems design
