Research Engineer (IPP)

Summary:

Being a new entrant in Singapore's R&D landscape, Skywork AI Singapore is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) through foundational research, with a particular focus on Foundation Model 2.0 and Agents. Foundation Model 2.0 encompasses various dimensions, including pioneering new foundation models and applications, optimizing training and inference acceleration, and conducting theoretical studies to enhance interpretability. The work on Agents delives into both virtual and physical agents, propelling us into the forefront of AGI development.

Skywork AI Singapore is partnering with universities in Singapore, to invite motivated candidates to enroll in a PhD program and work at Skywork AI Singapore. Successful candidates will become full-time employees of Skywork AI and should qualify to be admitted into the PhD Programme at one of the universities in Singapore.

Candidate's Expectation:

• Work with our research scientists to conduct groundbreaking research in the AGI field, focusing on Foundation Model 2.0 and Agents
• Collaborate closely with our interdisciplinary team to publish influential research findings in top-tiered conferences and journals, making a significant impact on the AGI community
• Embrace the entrepreneurial spirit and actively explore technology transfer opportunities into business products

Desirable Experience:

• Demontrate a strong interest in a career in computer science
• Keen to study and perform research in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Game AI, Natural Language Processing, Reinforcement Learning, and Speech Recognition. (Preferably but not limited to)
• Proficiency in differentiable programming frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and JAX
• Possessed Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Data science, or related fields is highly desirable
• Not a recipient of, or hold any other scholarship or other award of a monetary nature (Excluding bursary and financial aid)
• Must meet the postgraduate admission and academic requirements
• For existing PhD candidates, must be 2 years or less into the postgraduate program

IPP trainees will be able to enjoy the following benefits:
