Join a cutting-edge team at the intersection of artificial intelligence and healthcare. As a Research Engineer, you'll develop and implement advanced AI algorithms to analyse medical images, improve diagnostic accuracy, and support clinical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop machine learning and deep learning models for medical image analysis (e.g., CT, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound)
- Preprocess and annotate medical imaging datasets
- Collaborate with clinicians, radiologists, and data scientists to define research goals and validate results
- Implement and optimize image segmentation, classification, and detection algorithms
- Contribute to the deployment of AI models into clinical workflows or cloud-based platforms
- Stay current with the latest research in AI, computer vision, and medical imaging.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (students and interns are encouraged to apply).
- Proficient programming skills in Python (C++ experience is a plus).
- Hands-on experience with PyTorch.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
- Capable of working independently as well as within cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with human anatomy, image processing techniques, and medical imaging modalities (a plus).
- Exposure to federated learning, explainable AI, or regulatory frameworks (e.g., FDA, CE) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a bonus.
- Must be able to commit for at least 8 months.
