Job Title: Research Engineer
Contract Duration: 12 months (Potential for permanent placement)
Are you passionate about advancing the frontiers of superintelligence and cutting-edge AI research We are seeking a talented Research Engineer to join our team on a 12-month contract, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a research engineer within the FAIR MetaCLIP team, focusing on engineering tasks to push superintelligence through supersensing innovations.
- Develop and implement new algorithms, functionalities, and architectures across diverse modalities such as computer vision, natural language processing, and embodied AI to improve data curation, modeling, and research tools.
- Collaborate closely with research teams and partners to transform innovative ideas into scalable solutions and integrate them into operational platforms.
- Support the development of large-scale foundational data and models, ensuring high quality, diversity, and robustness to drive superintelligence research forward.
- Contribute to scholarly publications by translating research findings into impactful outcomes and sharing advancements with the broader AI community.
Qualifications:
- 0-4 years of experience in LLMs, foundation models, or data research with the ability to independently engineer advanced AI systems on cloud infrastructure.
- Experience in Deep Learning, Computer Vision, LLMs, Machine Learning, or AI, particularly with developing computer vision algorithms and infrastructure.
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python, or Rust, with hands-on experience using deep learning frameworks like PyTorch.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or related technical fields; MSc or PhD is preferred.
- Additional experience in distributed systems, 3D reconstruction, depth sensing, or image/video generation is a plus.
