Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for conducting research on video deepfake detection. Successful candidate will be part of an active research team led by Prof HE Shengfeng from School of Computing and Information Systems (SCIS), Singapore Management University (SMU).

  • Conduct and contribute to research on video deepfake detection.
  • Support the collection, generation, and organization of video deepfake datasets.
  • Implement, test, and optimize deep learning programs and pipelines.
  • Maintain codebases, run experiments, and document results.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems or closely related disciplines from a reputable institution of higher learning with particular focus on video deepfake detection or video analysis.
  • Minimum 1 years of relevant research experience in video analysis.
  • Proficiency in programming software/languages such as Python and C++ will be positively considered/ is required.
  • Proven track record and professional experience in computer vision.
  • Demonstrated experience and know-how on video analysis.
  • Excellent working knowledge of video analysis.
  • Ability to break down complex problems and design effective solutions.
  • Innovating new approaches and thinking outside the box.
  • Applicants with strong research publications in deepfake detection area will be advantageous.
  • Ability to work cooperatively as part of a small, agile academic research team is essential.
  • Self-motivated individual who can work independently and collaboratively with team members.
