Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for conducting research on AI for Software Engineering. The candidate will be part of an active research team to be supervised by Prof. David Lo from School of Computing and Information Systems, Singapore Management University.
Candidate's Core Responsibilities Include
- Design and implement AI for software engineering solutions.
- Conduct evaluations and/or user studies to validate the effectiveness of the algorithms and tools.
- Write and publish research papers and present them to reputable academic conferences.
- Package the documents, implementation code, evaluation results of the project for public release.
- Liaise with other team members of this project to realize the overall goal of the project.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Data Science / AI.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant research experience in AI and/or software engineering.
- Excellent knowledge about software engineering and artificial intelligence.
- Highly fluent in Python and Java.
- Competent in designing and implementing algorithms and data structures.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical, technical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated individual who can work independently and also collaboratively with team members.
- Able to work under strict deadlines.
- Research capability as evidenced by tangible deliverable i.e., at least 3 first-authored papers.
