Research Engineer (1 year contract or till 31 Aug 2027), SCIS

Job Description

• This position is forSchool of Computing and Information Systems (SCIS).
• Design and implement research solutions.
• Conduct evaluations and/or user studies to validate the effectiveness of the algorithms and tools.
• Write and publish research papers and present them to reputable academic conferences.
• Package the documents, implementation code, evaluation results of the project for public release.
• Liaise with other team members of this project to realize the overall goal of the project.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Master degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from a reputable institution.
• Publication of at least two first-authored paper in a top AI or software engineering conferences/journals (SCIS A.).
• Excellent knowledge about software engineering and artificial intelligence.
• Highly fluent in Python and Java.
• Competent in designing and implementing algorithms and data structures.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, technical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated individual who can work independently and also collaboratively with team members.
• Able to work under strict deadlines.
• Research capability as evidenced by tangible deliverable i.e., at least 2 first-authored paper in SCIS A. conference/ journal in the field of AI or software engineering.
