About the Role

We are seeking a driven and innovative Research and Development (R&D) Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between conceptual design and physical reality—utilizing advanced CAD tools, simulation software, and hands-on experimental validation to develop high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective mechanical solutions for our next-generation products.

Key Responsibilities

• Create mechanical components, enclosures, systems, and mechanisms using Creo (or equivalent 3D CAD software), specializing in sheet metal and plastic parts.
• Perform critical design analyses including DFM, DFA, form/fit/function, safety, reliability, and tolerance stack-up studies.
• Utilize CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and dynamic simulation software to optimize mechanical and thermal performance; build physical thermal mockups to validate results.
• Manage and execute experiments to characterize design performance, conduct rigorous prototype testing, and use data analysis to drive design improvements and resolve issues.
• Partner with internal teams and outsourced development partners to align on detailed project requirements, mechanical specifications, and performance objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in mechanical product design or R&D.
• Proficiency in Creo (or equivalent 3D CAD) and CFD simulation software; strong understanding of production tooling and manufacturing processes for plastics and sheet metal.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent communication skills with the confidence to present design proposals and negotiate options with cross-functional stakeholders.
