The candidate would be working in a multinational team at the forefront of Singapore's agricultural innovation and food security.

The position of Research Associate/Research Fellow will focus on developing advanced gene-edited strategies to improve plant architecture, growth rate and suitability for indoor farming systems for Brassica.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize strategies for multiplex CRISPR-Cas genome editing in Brassica

  • Design, construct, and validate CRISPR-Cas vectors for efficient gene editing

  • Generate edited Brassica plants and establish transgene-free lines

  • Perform phenotypic and genotypic analyses of edited plants

  • Investigate genes involved in plant architecture, biomass, flowering time, and fertility

  • Engineer molecular pathways for enhanced crop performance

  • Contribute to the improvement of tissue culture and regeneration protocols in Brassica

  • Document results and contribute to reports, publications, and presentations

Research Associate (Master's level)

  • Master's degree in Plant Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related field

  • Experience with plant molecular biology techniques

  • Familiarity with tissue culture and plant regeneration

  • Basic knowledge of genome editing technologies (CRISPR-Cas is an advantage)

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Research Fellow (PhD level)

  • PhD degree in Plant Biotechnology, Molecular Genetics, Plant Physiology, or a closely related discipline

  • Demonstrated experience with CRISPR-Cas genome editing

  • Strong background in plant transformation, tissue culture, and regeneration

  • Experience with phenotyping and genotyping of edited plants

  • Proven ability to lead experiments, analyze data, and publish research
