Research Assistant / Research Associate (Health Services Research)

About the Role
Alexandra Hospital (AH) is seeking a motivated Research Assistant / Research Associate to support health services and clinical research. Working with a dedicated research team in AH, you will contribute throughout the research lifecycle - from protocol development to dissemination.

Roles & Responsibilities
Core responsibilities (RA/RA Associate):

  • . Project coordination and management, including ethics submissions and followup.
  • . Contribute to research protocol development and study documentation.
  • . Primary data collection (e.g., surveys, interviews, chart reviews) and data entry, basic data cleaning, and preliminary analyses.
  • . Conduct quantitative and/or qualitative analysis under supervision.
  • . Undertake literature reviews, including systematic reviews.
  • . Contribute to scientific manuscripts, reports, and support dissemination of findings (seminars, presentations).


Additional / advanced responsibilities (typically RA Associate or experienced RA):

  • Specialised skills in health economics evaluation, implementation research, AI in health, and health services outcomes research will be an advantage.
  • . Conduct independent systematic reviews and metaanalyses.
  • . Perform advanced statistical analyses and data interpretation.
  • . Support grant applications (concept notes, methods, budgets).

Qualifications & Requirements

  • . Bachelor's or Master's degree in health sciences, public health, life sciences, psychology, social sciences, or related fields.
  • . At least two years work experience, ideally in healthrelated research.
  • . Experience using Stata, SPSS, and/or NVivo.
  • . Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • . Desirable: Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR).
  • . Track record of publication (e.g., authorship on scientific papers).
