Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Researcher to join our Translational Retinal Research Laboratory as a Research Assistant. The successful candidate will contribute to the development, characterization and application of stem-cell derived retinal cells for the treatment of retinal diseases.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and differentiation of patient stem cell-derived retinal cells.
- Perform cellular and molecular characterization of retinal cell types using advanced laboratory techniques.
- Contribute to experimental design, data analysis, and documentation of research findings.
- Collaborate with team members on translational research aimed at therapeutic application.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments and results.
- Operate and maintain specialized lab equipment and ensure compliance with lab safety standards.
- Assist in general lab administrative duties, such as maintenance of lab stock and procurement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in biology, Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Strong interest in stem cell biology and regenerative medicine.
- Practical experience in cell culture and molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, immunostaining, microscopy).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative research team.
- Previous experience with stem cell culture or retinal biology is advantageous but not essential.
