We are looking for a Research Assistant who has been working on advanced ceramics research for at least 3 years. The role will focus on developing novel shaping and sintering techniques of various oxide or carbide ceramics and investigating the processing-structure-properties correlation.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research work according to project deliverables which involves preparing ceramic green bodies and exploring sintering processes to optimize grain size and density.
Comprehensive analysis of materials including density measurement, microstructure analysis and mechanical/thermal properties, etc.
Draft technical report and manuscript for publication.
Maintenance of specialized sintering equipment and coordinate procurement with external suppliers.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor degree with second upper honor degree in Materials science and engineering
At least 3 years of relevant experiences in similar role / technical hands-on experience in advanced ceramics synthesis and characterization
Familiarity with emerging shaping and sintering techniques of ceramics is preferred.
Good writing skills for writing proposals, reports and publications in good academic journals
