Job Description

The Research Assistant will provide operational support for the implementation of mHealth and early cancer detection research projects. The successful candidate will coordinate day-to-day project activities, facilitate collaboration with multidisciplinary stakeholders, support participant engagement and study operations, and ensure projects are delivered according to established timelines and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong organisational, communication, and project coordination skills to manage multiple workstreams while supporting the successful execution of clinical and translational research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the mHealth research project and other early cancer detection projects on ad hoc basis.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across NUH-NCIS, HORG, IT, Communications, and finance to ensure smooth project implementation.
  • Coordinate the development, scheduling, testing, and deployment of mHealth intervention messages through the NUHS App.
  • Track project timelines, deliverables, and operational milestones.
  • Assist with participant recruitment, e-consent processes, participant enquiries, and follow-up activities.
  • Coordinate participant incentive payments, including preparation and submission of payment documents.
  • Prepare purchase requests, invoices, quotations, and other procurement-related documentation.
  • Maintain study documentation, meeting minutes, and project trackers.
  • Coordinate meetings with internal and external collaborators and follow up on action items.
  • Support communication with vendors and service providers for technical implementation.
  • Perform other early cancer detection project-related administrative and operational duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, public health, healthcare, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in clinical research, healthcare project coordination, or project management is preferred.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project tracking tools.
  • Experience working within NUHS/NUH or healthcare institutions would be advantageous.
