Job Description
The successful candidate will work with Cynthia He on a research project on protein complex formation funded by Ministry of Education Tier 1 grant.
The main responsibilities of the position include:
- Perform advance molecular, biochemical and cell biological analysis on Trypanosoma brucei, a BSL2 agent.
- Plan and ensure that the overall research/administrative/biosafety needs of the lab are met.
- Oversee laboratory standard operating procedures and safety.
- Provide research support to projects encompassing molecular biology, cell biology and biochemistry.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
MSc degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent.
Skills:
- Highly motivated individual with an inquisitive mind
- Able to work independently, is proactive with taking initiative
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Experience:
- Previous experience working with cell biology/biochemistry/molecular biology in Trypanosoma brucei or other BSL -2 eukaryotic pathogens will be prioritized.
