The Civic Tech Lab at the Department of Communications and New Media, National University of Singapore, seeks a highly organized and motivated Full-time Research Assistant/Associate and Grant Manager specializing in online harmful content. The successful candidate will manage research projects funded by grants, oversee budgetary and administrative processes, and assist in analyzing harmful online content through computational social science methods. The role requires strong analytical and managerial skills, computational proficiency, and a keen awareness of local Singaporean socio-cultural contexts.

Bachelor's degree or higher in Social Sciences (e.g., Communication, Sociology, Political Science) or related fields.
Extensive experience or coursework in traditional social science methods and data analysis (e.g., surveys, focus groups, experiments, content analysis)
Experience or coursework in computational methods and data analysis (e.g., Python, R, NLP techniques).
Familiarity with grant management processes, budgeting, and reporting.
Understanding of issues related to online harmful content and digital governance.
Knowledge and keen sensitivity to Singapore's socio-political and cultural landscape.
Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
