Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced investment professional to lead coverage of the Information Technology (IT) sector, focusing primarily on companies listed in the United States and Europe. Based in Singapore, this individual will work closely with the firm's US/EU investment team and assume responsibility for idea generation, research, and portfolio management within the IT sector. The role offers significant autonomy over stock picking, position sizing and sector positioning-effectively functioning as a sector portfolio manager-while remaining aligned with the team's collaborative investment process. Our investment horizon tends to be longer term and eschews excessive portfolio turnover or short-term trading.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed fundamental research on IT companies across all hardware and software sub-sectors, including semiconductors, infrastructure, applications, and emerging technologies.
- Develop high-conviction investment ideas supported by comprehensive financial analysis, valuation modelling, and industry insight.
- Manage and actively adjust IT sector exposures within the common portfolio, encompassing stock initiation, position sizing, ongoing monitoring and eventual exits, balancing conviction with disciplined risk management.
- Monitor global technology trends, competitive dynamics, and macro/regulatory developments affecting sector fundamentals.
- Collaborate with other members of the team to ensure effective portfolio construction, cross-sector consistency, and performance attribution.
- Regularly present investment recommendations and sector updates
- Support ESG engagement where required by the firm's investment framework
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in equity research or portfolio management, with a strong track record covering the Information Technology sector.
- Deep sector understanding across both hardware and software industries familiarity with global leaders and high-growth innovators in the US and European markets.
- Proven ability to translate research insights into actionable investment decisions and manage sector exposures within a broader portfolio context.
- Ideally experience in a long only, benchmark relative framework
- Strong analytical, valuation, and modelling skills, coupled with sound judgment and communication ability.
- Collaborative mindset consistent with a team-based investment culture.
- Bachelor's degree required CFA charterholder or advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
