Research Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate listed companies across Southeast Asia, with particular exposure to consumer, retail and technology sectors
• Meet company management teams, analyse industry dynamics and develop independent investment views
• Study what makes great businesses successful over long periods of time, including competitive advantages, management quality and capital allocation
• Build financial models and assess company valuations through a long-term lens
• Monitor portfolio holdings and identify new investment opportunities across the region
• Participate in investment debates and contribute directly to the research process
• Develop a deep understanding of businesses, rather than focusing solely on short-term earnings or market movements

Experience

• Strong academic background with excellent analytical capabilities
• Passion for investing, business analysis and understanding how companies create value
• Intellectual curiosity and willingness to challenge conventional thinking
• Strong communication skills and ability to articulate investment views clearly
• Self-motivated, humble and eager to learn from experienced investors
• Prior experience in investing, equity research, investment banking or consulting is helpful but not essential
