Lead fundamental equity research across sectors, driving original investment theses through deep-dive financial analysis, proprietary valuation frameworks, and differentiated views on earnings trajectories and capital allocation
Originate and own thematic equity strategies by identifying structural inflection points and macoeconomic trends (e.g. AI adoption curves, energy transition policy shifts, demographic re-pricing, supply chain reconfiguration) and translating them into investable thematic baskets with clearly defined entry/exit criteria
Design and evolve systematic equity strategies - spanning cross-sectional factor models (value, momentum, quality, sentiment), event-driven signals (earnings surprises, index rebalances, activist catalysts), and thematic overlays - with full ownership of research-to-production pipelines
Architect and maintain scalable Python-based infrastructure for equity analytics, including alternative data ingestion, factor libraries, portfolio construction engines, and risk attribution tools
Synthesise fundamental, thematic, and quantitative perspectives into high-conviction equity views, communicating actionable ideas to portfolio managers and senior stakeholders
Assess geopolitical and macro regime shifts for second-order implications on equity sectors, regional allocations, and style factor positioning
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in equity research, equity strategy, or a quantitative equity role within asset management, hedge funds, or sell-side research
Advanced proficiency in Python with experience building production-grade analytics tools and libraries
Deep expertise in valuation methodologies, factor modelling, and portfolio construction techniques
Strong command of financial databases (e.g. Bloomberg, FactSet, Refinitiv) and experience working with alternative data sources
Ability to operate across fundamental, thematic, and quantitative disciplines and distil complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders
