We are currently working with a global independent research firm focused on the semiconductor supply chain, AI infrastructure, and related technologies. They publish frequent in-depth industry reports, run detailed models (on hardware demand, datacenter supply/demand, cost-of-ownership, etc.), and advise institutional clients - including major cloud providers, investment funds, and corporates.
Role Overview
As a Research Analyst based in Singapore, you will play a key role in developing, updating, and publishing our industry-level models. You will work closely with senior research leadership to build new models, maintain existing ones, and contribute to high-impact reports and analysis. In addition to the modeling work, you will help produce public-facing newsletters and may represent the firm at industry conferences, especially across APAC.
Key Responsibilities
. Perform detailed financial and quantitative analysis to support our industry models, research products, consulting projects, and client deliverables.
. Conduct in-depth industry research covering semiconductor supply chain dynamics, AI-infrastructure trends, market shifts, and competitive landscapes.
. Monitor relevant corporate earnings, news releases, and technological developments, and incorporate these into reports and model updates.
. Draft research reports, presentations, and newsletters, summarizing insights in a clear, structured, and impactful manner to reach both technical and non-technical audiences.
. Collaborate with cross-functional team members globally, and potentially participate in conferences or external events representing the firm.
Candidate Profile / Required Qualifications
. Undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as Business, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
. 1-5 years of prior experience in equities research, investment banking, buy-side, or a related analytical role.
. Familiarity with financial modelling (especially three-statement modelling) and strong proficiency with Excel.
. Strong research skills, ability to synthesize information across multiple sources, and to draw actionable insights from complex data.
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to explain complex technological or market dynamics clearly and effectively.
. Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently within a fast-paced and globally-distributed team.
. A genuine interest in semiconductors, AI infrastructure, and emerging technology trends prior exposure or knowledge of the semiconductor supply chain is a strong plus.
. Proficiency in English (additional languages a plus), comfortable working in an international environment.
