Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team in a fast paced and challenging area This is a unique opportunity for you to work closely with Lending Advisors, Investors and Credit Risk Executives to facilitate the origination of loans, monitor credit risk exposures and clients collateral portfolio, provide covenant breach reporting and is responsible for regulatory reporting and Credit Risk data analytics.
As a Reporting & Data Analytics Analyst within the Credit Platform Services team, you will support Regulatory and Non-Regulatory reporting and analytics activities. You will own the end-to-end delivery and enhancement of regulatory and portfolio reporting, ensuring outputs meet defined SLAs, quality standards, and a strong control framework. You will also help drive automation and process optimization to improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and reduce operational risk.
Job responsibilities
- Produce regulatory and portfolio reports end-to-end, ensuring adherence to defined SLAs, quality standards, and control requirements.
- Support regulatory engagement by responding to regulator queries and supporting inspections and thematic reviews.
- Support internal audit and review activities with evidence, analysis, traceability, and control narratives.
- Identify and execute automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk (e.g., Alteryx, Python, Tableau, Signavio).
- Identify, implement, and manage controls and reporting initiatives with international Private Banking primary locations (e.g., Geneva and Edinburgh) and coordinate with India and Manila teams to share best practices.
- Maintain documentation and governance artifacts (procedures, user guides, control evidence) to support auditability and consistent execution.
- Maintain report and tool inventories (e.g., reporting inventory and automation/user tool catalogs).
- Execute change governance for reporting and analytics deliverables, ensuring changes follow defined scope, approvals, documentation, and implementation steps.
- Support issue management and remediation by tracking actions, maintaining closure evidence, and helping ensure sustainable fixes are adopted into BAU.
- Investigate data and reporting issues across upstream and downstream systems, performing root-cause analysis and proposing sustainable fixes.
- Partner with stakeholders (Risk, Lending, Compliance) to assess change impacts and ensure controlled rollout with appropriate communications and escalation when needed.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Diploma holder
- Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to break down complex problems and identify root causes.
- Independent troubleshooting skills comfortable navigating ambiguity and resolving issues with minimal guidance.
- Change agility, with the ability to adapt to evolving processes and support transformation initiatives.
- Intellectual curiosity proactively asks why, and seeks to understand underlying data flows and system logic end-to-end.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including confidence engaging senior stakeholders.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Knowledge of our current regulatory landscape is an advantage, specifically with regards to MAS and HKMA regulations
- Familiarity with data lineage, system of record concepts and reconciliation frameworks
- Strong knowledge of automation tools like Alteryx, Python, Tableau, Signavio a plus
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, including hands-on work with data and/or automation tools preferred
