Role Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for full lifecycle delivery of renovation projects, from post-sale handover to final completion, ensuring projects are executed on time, on budget, and to required quality standards.
This role is operations-driven, not sales-driven - focused on execution, coordination, and client assurance.
Aligned with Project Direct's model, the Project Manager operates with no commission incentives, ensuring objective decision-making and zero upselling behaviour.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Ownership (End-to-End)
- Take over confirmed projects from intake/quotation stage
- Plan and manage full project timeline from start to completion
- Define scope, milestones, and sequencing of trades
- Ensure smooth transition between each work phase
2. Client Management (Trust & Transparency)
- Act as the single point of contact for clients
- Provide clear updates on progress, timelines, and next steps
- Manage expectations professionally and proactively
- Ensure client confidence through structured communication
3. Trade Coordination (Core Function)
- Coordinate all partner trades:ElectricalDemolition & hackingCarpentryPlaster ceilingPaintingAircon
- Schedule and sequence works efficiently to avoid delays
- Ensure all trades adhere to agreed timelines and standards

4. Site & Quality Control
- Conduct regular site inspections
- Ensure workmanship meets company and industry standards
- Identify and resolve issues early
- Enforce proper site practices and safety compliance
5. Timeline & Progress Management
- Track project milestones and ensure adherence to schedule
- Anticipate delays and implement corrective actions
- Maintain clear visibility of project status at all times
6. Cost & Payment Control
- Ensure works are executed within approved scope and budget
- Verify completion of each milestone before triggering payment
(Project Direct uses a progressive payment system tied to completed work, requiring strict verification discipline.)
7. Issue Resolution & Problem Solving
- Handle on-site issues, variations, and client concerns
- Provide practical, cost-effective solutions
- Escalate major risks when necessary
8. Documentation & Reporting

- Report status to management regularly

Requirements
Experience
- 3-8 years in renovation / construction project management
- Strong experience coordinating multiple trades
