The Relief Teaching Assistant, reports directly to the Class Teacher and is responsible to assist Class Teachers with the teaching and supervision of students. She/He will also assist in resource preparation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carries out the Mission, Vision, Values and initiatives established by the school
- Improves and upkeeps the repute of the school by conducting oneself in a professional manner at all times in speech, action, appearance and demeanor
- Provide support to the teacher to ensure a safe and stimulating educational environment
- Assist the teacher in the preparation for daily activities by:
a. preparing lesson deliverables including worksheets, drawings and handouts,
b. preparing/developing/making various resources/teaching aids,
c. setting up the classroom and other appropriate facilities,
d. maintaining the cleanliness of the class.
- Present subject matter to children, under the guidance of a teacher, utilizing a variety of methods including stories, activities, and role playing
- Assist children, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts both in and outside the school
- Be familiar with weekly lesson plans, each student's Individualized Educational Programme and health/medical conditions
- Maintains confidentiality of records and information of students and families
Requirements:
- Minimum completed secondary education
- Dedicated & responsible adults
- Those with relevant experience but without the necessary qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
