Job Description
. Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students diverse needs. Use evidence-based, autism-friendly teaching strategies and assessments to track students progress
. Collaborate on curriculum planning and development
. Build positive relationships and support individualised education plans (IEPs/ITPs)
. Manage behaviours and implement strategies to support students well-being
. Maintain a safe and positive learning environment
. Support co-curricular activities (CCAs) and school initiatives
. Participate in work committees to achieve student outcomes
. Work with families and external partners to support student development
. Assist with transition planning for post-school success
. Collaborate with allied professionals to development and implement support plans to support students learning and well-being
. Maintain and update accurate records, reports and student progress data. When appropriate, provide guidance to junior staff on teaching and learning, and work processes and activities.
Job Requirement
. Recognised Polytechnic Diploma
. Teaching qualifications or equivalent in Special Education will be an advantage
. Experience in dealing with children and youths with autism will be an advantage
