Lead shift troubleshooting, manage technician teams and critical spares, and ensure all maintenance complies with safety, engineering, and data integrity standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Plant Reliability & Maintenance
- Leadership: Coordinate and lead shift-based mechanical and instrumentation technicians, providing technical support troubleshooting.
- Spare Parts Management: Establish, procure, and maintain a robust critical spares inventory to minimize plant downtime from equipment failures.
- Asset Optimization: Continuous review of equipment performance to develop, modify, and improve asset maintenance programs.
- Safety & Compliance: Draft maintenance instructions prioritizing personnel safety while satisfying internal control frameworks and global engineering standards.
- Quality & Data Integrity: Build maintenance procedures with a Quality mindset, strictly incorporating global data integrity requirements.
- Operational Excellence: Enforce high housekeeping standards (right parts, proper storage) and perform timely reviews of work orders.
- Shutdown Management: Support the Engineering (HOD) in planning, scheduling, and executing yearly plant shutdown activities.
Product Turnarounds & Improvement Projects
- Changeovers: Lead maintenance operations to ensure swift, efficient product turnaround.
- Preventive Maintenance: Support the closure of minor improvement projects by creating or updating preventive maintenance plans to align with new scopes.
Projects
- Project Leadership: Identify, design, and lead plant improvement and asset reliability projects.
- Maintainability in Design: Collaborate with process engineers on new equipment and facility installations to ensure long-term maintainability is built in from day one.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience:3-5 years of maintenance or reliability engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., Pharma, Biotech, Chemical, or FMCG).
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in mechanical and instrumentation troubleshooting, CMMS, and SAP (highly preferred).
- Compliance: Proven experience working under strict Safety, Quality, and Data Integrity (GMP/ALCOA) frameworks.
- Pharma background is highly preferred
