Release Engineer

Responsibilities

1. Manage and execute SIT, UAT and Production deployments for Customer Mgmt and Credit Origination applications across countries

2. Perform infrastructure setup, configuration, and validation for testing and production environments.

3. Provide support for maintenance activities including upgrades, patch management, and capacity enhancements for Customer Mgmt and Credit Origination applications across countries.

4. Troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered during SIT and UAT testing phases.

5. Maintain and enhance the testing environment by developing and managing automated monitoring scripts and tools.

6. Support and troubleshoot SIT/UAT deployments leveraging DevOps pipelines and Aldon tools.

7. Collaborate with application development, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless deployment processes.

8. Document deployment processes, troubleshooting steps, and environment configurations for knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

9. Ensure adherence to deployment schedules and minimize downtime during production rollouts.

10. Identify areas for process improvement and automation within the deployment and testing lifecycle.

11. Provide on-call support during critical deployment windows and address post-deployment validation issues

Requirements

1. Strong hands-on experience in Unix/Linux system administration, including installation and configuration and troubleshooting of JBoss AppServer, JBoss WebServer and Apache.

2. Hands-on experience in setting up SSL encryption, JBoss Vault, Oracle wallet and related security setups

3. Solid understanding of automation and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, with hands on experience in tools such as Jenkins, Aldon, Ansible, and container management technologies

4. Proficient in scripting with UNIX Shell Scripting and Groovy for automation and operational support.

5. Experience with environment management, infrastructure provisioning, and deployment processes.

6. Experience in Release Management, including planning, coordination and execution of release activities.

7. Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills, with experience in leading or mentoring technical terms.

8. Working experience with middleware technologies such as IBM MQ, Connect:Direct, FTP/SFTP familiarity with Oracle Databases operations is a plus.

9. Good understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and troubleshooting.

10. Prior working experience in banking or financial services environments is highly preferred.

11. Strong work ethic with a proactive, ownership-driven approach.
