Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Relationship Manager – Structured Investment Solutions to develop and manage relationships with high-net-worth clients, accredited investors and professional intermediaries.

About the Role

The role will have a strong focus on identifying client investment needs and introducing suitable Structured Notes and broader wealth management solutions, while maintaining high standards of client engagement, suitability, documentation and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management
  • Build, develop and maintain long-term relationships with high-net-worth and accredited investor clients.
  • Understand clients financial objectives, investment preferences, risk appetite, liquidity requirements and portfolio needs.
  • Conduct regular portfolio and investment reviews and identify appropriate opportunities based on prevailing market conditions.
  • Provide a high standard of ongoing client servicing and relationship management.
  • Develop new client relationships through referrals, networking, professional partnerships and business-development initiatives.

Structured Notes & Investment Solutions

  • Identify suitable Structured Notes opportunities based on clients investment objectives and market views.
  • Introduce and explain relevant structured investment strategies, including income-oriented, equity-linked and other structured solutions where appropriate.
  • Help clients understand key product features, underlying assets, payoff structures, potential returns, investment horizons and material risks.
  • Monitor market developments, underlying securities, interest rates, volatility and other factors relevant to Structured Notes opportunities.
  • Work closely with product providers, investment specialists and internal stakeholders to source and evaluate investment ideas.
  • Support clients in constructing diversified investment portfolios incorporating Structured Notes alongside other appropriate investment solutions.

Business Development

  • Develop a sustainable pipeline of prospective HNW and accredited investor clients.
  • Build relationships with centres of influence, introducers, professional advisers and strategic partners.
  • Participate in investment seminars, client events, market briefings and other client-engagement initiatives.
  • Contribute towards the growth of assets under advisory/management, investment flows and recurring client relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen existing client relationships across investment, wealth planning and other relevant financial solutions.

Market & Investment Knowledge

  • Maintain a strong understanding of global financial markets, including equities, fixed income, interest rates, currencies and macroeconomic developments.
  • Stay informed about market themes and investment opportunities relevant to Structured Notes.
  • Communicate market developments and investment concepts clearly and professionally to clients.
  • Work with investment and product teams to translate market views into appropriate client solutions.

Governance, Suitability & Compliance

  • Ensure all client recommendations and transactions are conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies and suitability standards.
  • Conduct appropriate fact-finding, risk profiling, product disclosure and documentation.
  • Clearly communicate the potential risks and limitations associated with Structured Notes, including market risk, issuer credit risk, liquidity risk and potential capital loss where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of client discussions, recommendations and transactions.
  • Complete all required regulatory, compliance and continuing professional development requirements.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and client confidentiality.
  • Qualifications

    • Diploma or degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Banking or a related discipline preferred.
    • Relevant regulatory qualifications and licensing requirements applicable to the role must be obtained and maintained.
    • Professional qualifications such as CFA, CFP, ChFC or equivalent would be advantageous but are not mandatory.

    Required Skills

    • Good understanding of investment products and financial markets.
    • Familiarity with Structured Notes and common payoff structures will be advantageous.
    • Strong relationship-building, communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to explain sophisticated investment concepts in a clear and client-friendly manner.
    • Commercially driven with strong prospecting and business-development capabilities.
    • Strong attention to detail, particularly in relation to suitability, documentation and regulatory requirements.
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with product specialists and other internal stakeholders.

    Preferred Skills

    • Prior experience in relationship management, private banking, priority banking, wealth management, investment advisory, securities or financial services is preferred.
    • Experience dealing with high-net-worth or accredited investor clients will be an advantage.
    • Experience with Structured Notes, structured products, investment products or capital markets solutions is highly desirable.
    • Candidates with strong investment-sales experience and an established client network may also be considered.
