Our client is a leading Bank looking to recruit a Regulatory Compliance officer. As a key member of the core compliance team, your role is to keep abreast of regulatory developments in banking laws and regulations and assess the impact, as well as interpret new/ updated regulations and provide advisory and recommendations accordingly.

  • Provide advisory on all compliance matters pertaining to mainly Banking Act and Securities and Futures Act (SFA), and all other MAS notices including new or revised requirements
  • Revise and update compliance manuals to align with local and Group policies and procedures
  • Perform gap analysis on new or revised requirements and assess for any material impact to the business lines
  • Conduct the review, development and implementation of a risk-based compliance monitoring programme
  • Assist in handling regulatory consultations and reviews, as well as MAS submissions, notifications, regulatory approvals, surveys and request for information
  • Plan and conduct compliance training to all employees


skills and experience required

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance from a Bank
  • Strong technical knowledge of key financial acts and regulations from the relevant monetary authority
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and advising senior stakeholders
