Job Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Regulatory Compliance Lead to spearhead our compliance framework in Singapore while providing strategic support to our broader regional operations.
The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for local regulators, ensuring reporting standards and operational workflows remain beyond reproach.
Core Responsibilities
- Act as the designated lead for all engagements with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), managing audits, inquiries, and routine examinations.
- Oversee the end-to-end regulatory reporting calendar, ensuring all mandatory filings for a Major Payment Institution are accurate and submitted on time.
- Analyse evolving regulatory requirements and collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate these mandates into day-to-day operations.
- Build and refine compliance processes that support rapid business growth while maintaining strict adherence to the Payment Services Act.
- Provide expert guidance on regulatory landscapes across Southeast Asia to ensure cross-border alignment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of professional experience in regulatory compliance within a financial institution. Direct experience in the Fintech or Payments sector is highly preferred.
- In-depth, hands-on knowledge of MAS requirements for Major Payment Institutions is mandatory.
- Proven history of successfully managing direct relationships and communications with the MAS.
- A strong ability to interpret complex regulations and work cross-functionally to implement them in a practical, business-friendly manner.
- Experience navigating the regulatory environments of other Southeast Asian markets is considered a significant advantage.
