Job Description

Overview

The Winslow is a private residential addiction treatment centre dedicated to delivering compassionate and personalised care to people experiencing substance use and/or behavioural addictions, including cooccurring mental health conditions.

The Registered Nurse plays a key role in delivering compassionate, supportive care to individuals undergoing treatment at The Winslow. This role involves providing holistic nursing care, monitoring clients physical and psychological wellbeing, and supporting them through recovery. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, the nurse contributes to the development and implementation of personalised care plans that promote safety, dignity, and long-term recovery. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the nurse upholds high standards of documentation, medication management, infection control, and workplace safety. This position is ideal for a dedicated and resilient nursing professional who is passionate about mental health and addiction recovery and thrives in a collaborative, client-centred environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general nursing duties which includes performing clinical procedures and vital signs monitoring.
  • Provide nursing care to clients undergoing treatment and ensuring medical stability.
  • Monitor clients physical and psychological status and report changes promptly.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with psychiatrist's orders and nursing guidelines.
  • Support clients in managing symptoms and mental health comorbidities.
  • Assist with crisis intervention and ensure the safety of clients.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (consisting but not limited to psychiatrists, therapists, recovery coaches) in developing and executing individualised care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and objective nursing documentation.
  • Involve in administrative functions relating to work areas such as drugs/consumables ordering and stock taking.
  • Adhere to infection control and health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment for both staff and clients.

Requirements

  • Possess at least a Diploma in Nursing from a locally-recognised tertiary institution.
  • Registered Nurse with a valid practicing license with Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
  • Minimum of 2 years nursing experience.
  • Experience in mental health and/or addiction nursing is preferred. Training will be provided for motivated candidates without addiction/mental health experience.
  • Current BCLS and AED certification
  • COVID19 vaccinated (at least 3 doses)
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Empathy, resilience, and passion for supporting individuals in recovery.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
