POSITION: Regional Trade Compliance Specialist
REPORTING TO: Regional Trade Compliance Manager
LOCATION: Singapore
Position Summary
The Trade Compliance Specialist plays a key role in supporting regional trade and customs compliance activities across the Asia Pacific region. This position focuses on coordinating compliance initiatives, monitoring adherence to import/export regulations, and supporting trade compliance audits across multiple markets.
The role works closely with regional and in-country Supply Chain, Customer Service, Regulatory, and Finance teams to maintain compliance standards, strengthen internal controls, and promote a culture of proactive compliance. It is well-suited for candidates who are structured, analytical, and collaborative, with a strong interest in regional operations and international trade.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor import/export activities across APAC markets to ensure alignment with internal compliance policies and regional regulations.
- Consolidate and review compliance data, documentation, and reports from local country operations.
- Support maintenance and validation of HS classifications and related documentation.
- Prepare regional dashboards, KPIs, and compliance performance metrics.
- Conduct research on trade regulations, Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), and customs requirements across multiple countries.
- Provide first-level guidance to Supply Chain and Customer Service teams on compliance matters.
- Assist in planning and execution of internal trade compliance audits and follow-up on corrective actions.
- Contribute to projects that standardize and enhance regional compliance processes.
- Support the development and delivery of compliance training materials and awareness sessions.
- Promote a culture of integrity, accuracy, and compliance within regional operations.

- External partners such as customs brokers, freight forwarders, and industry associations
Essential Skills / Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, International Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- 3-5 years of experience in trade compliance, customs, or supply chain operations within a regional or multi-country environment.
- Solid knowledge of HS classification, import/export procedures, and FTA rules of origin in APAC.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools; SAP experience is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across cultures.
- Highly detail-oriented, disciplined, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
