We are seeking an experienced Regional Technical Director to lead technical strategy and innovation across the APAC region. Based in Singapore or another key country, this senior role reports to the Regional Director – APAC and involves managing cross-functional technical teams, including direct leadership of 4 staff and dotted-line oversight of 6 Country Technical Managers. You will drive excellence across poultry and swine sectors, ensuring technical impact, innovation, and customer value—while traveling up to 60%.
Responsibilities
- Lead Regional Technical Strategy: Drive innovation and excellence across monogastric (poultry & swine) technical functions in APAC, aligned with business goals.
- Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Manage and mentor diverse teams in technical services, market access, engineering, laboratory, and customer support.
- Support Sales & Marketing: Equip commercial teams and partners with technical knowledge, oversee trials, and ensure impactful product presentations.
- Strengthen Industry Presence: Represent the company at industry events, build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and contribute as a guest speaker and expert.
- Drive Innovation & Custom Solutions: Develop tailored technical action plans, collaborate with HQ, R&D, and customers to shape value-driven solutions.
- Ensure Operational Excellence: Oversee service implementation, regulatory processes, lab quality, and engineering deliverables across the region.
- Foster Team Performance: Establish governance, regular reviews, and cross-functional alignment to improve efficiency and impact.
- Accountable for:
- Technical training for internal teams and partners
- Providing high-level technical services to customers and distributors
- Coordinating with HQ and regional teams on strategic technical initiatives
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Internal: Work closely with Global Marketing, SBUs, R&D, Regulatory, Labs, and regional commercial/technical teams
- External: Engage with KOLs, key customers, global key accounts (GKAs), partners, and distributors
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (PhD or Master's) in Animal Nutrition, Agricultural Engineering, or Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
- 15+ years of experience in the animal feed industry, ideally with a strong background in feed formulation (premix, feed additives, or compound feed)
- Proven track record as a Formulator, Nutritionist, or Technical Manager in industrial settings
- Solid expertise in poultry and swine nutrition, husbandry practices, animal physiology, and health
- Capable of designing and managing animal nutrition trials to support product development and innovation
- Strong adaptability to diverse cultures and varying technical maturity across countries
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Willingness to travel up to 60% across the region
- Location: Singapore or another strategic country within the APAC poultry or swine sector
