About the Role
This role is responsible for providing regional tax advisory and compliance support across APAC. The incumbent will lead the annual Transfer Pricing documentation cycle and act as a key liaison between regional business units and the global tax function.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with regional business units (including subsidiaries and permanent establishments) to understand operations and provide advisory on tax implications, with actionable recommendations.
Support tax reporting and compliance obligations across entities within the region.
Lead the end-to-end Transfer Pricing (TP) documentation process, ensuring Master Files and Local Files are accurate, consistent, and submitted within statutory deadlines.
Manage operational Transfer Pricing matters, including monitoring intercompany margins and implementing year-end adjustments.
Coordinate with external tax advisors and consultancies within the region.
Support finance teams in handling tax audits and investigations, including preparation and review of documentation for tax authorities.
Act as the subject matter expert for international tax matters, including treaty applications, Withholding Tax (WHT), and Permanent Establishment (PE) assessments for cross-border transactions.
Monitor international and regional tax developments and provide timely updates and impact assessments to management.
Ensure alignment with internal tax policies and governance standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. finance, accounting, legal, and business units) to deliver timely and relevant tax advice.
Provide guidance to local teams in the preparation of tax filings and supporting documentation.
Develop and maintain a compliance framework to ensure adherence to local laws and regulatory requirements within stipulated timelines.
Drive process improvements through implementation of best practices.
Ensure compliance with Airbus Tax Strategy and governance standards.
Professional Requirements
Degree in Economics, Law, Business, or a related field.
Professional tax qualification (e.g., certified tax advisor or specialised tax lawyer) preferred.
Strong international tax experience gained from a global accounting firm, law firm, or multinational corporation.
7-10 years of relevant tax experience.
Strong experience working in multicultural environments with the ability to influence stakeholders across APAC.
