- Prepare and file timely and accurate corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations
- Provide tax planning guidance and implement strategies to optimize tax liabilities
- Research and analyze tax issues, providing recommendations to management on tax implications of potential transactions
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors and preparation of supporting documentation for tax audits including enquiries from tax authorities
- Implement and maintain tax accounting policies and procedures consistent with local tax regulations and statutory requirements
- Prepare tax forecasts, including estimated tax payments and cash flow projections related to tax positions
- Support various special projects and initiatives related to tax strategy and planning
- Support end-to-end accounting processes, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close, where required
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and consolidation in compliance with IFRS/GAAP and company policies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree in Taxation or MBA is preferred
- Professional certification such as CPA is strongly preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in tax, compliance and finance roles
- Experience in corporate tax, GST, and regulatory compliance, and working with tax authorities, auditors and regulatory bodies is advantageous
- Experience with ERP systems; proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Strong written, verbal communication skills and stakeholders management
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
