Role Introduction

To drive and be Cathay brand ambassador to attracts, selects and brings on board the right people for our operations and the Cathay culture, whilst providing an excellent candidate experience.

To be an expert in recruitment and the Cathay selection processes, tools and techniques and have a strong ability to support line managers with excellent selection decisions and nurture talent through the recruitment and selection process.

To execute & support the Regional Talent Acquisition & Management Manager on talent management framework and processes for the region and work with the business units to build succession plans and identify key talents

Key Responsibilities

Attraction & Branding

  • Deliver positive experience across all recruitment touchpoints.
  • Be a brand ambassador and promote employee value.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, promotions, and transfers.
  • Strengthen employer branding through networking/talent pipeline.

Recruitment

  • Manage compliant recruitment from sourcing to onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers to deliver timely results.
  • Conduct interviews, assessments, and targeted searches for key roles.
  • Coordinate overseas hiring, transfers, and mobility.
  • Support graduate, internal mobility, and progression programmes.
  • Use tools to improve efficiency and candidate experience.

Line Manager Support

  • Review JDs and postings to ensure compliance and appeal.
  • Provide guidance on assessments, outcomes, and evaluations.
  • Deliver objective and fair hiring guidance to support decision-making.

Experience & Onboarding

  • Manage talent pipelines (alumni, campus, internships).
  • Partner with People Operations to deliver smooth onboarding.
  • Support onboarding platforms to enhance employee experience.

Performance & Talent Management

  • Support regional performance management and Annual Talent Review.
  • Drive adoption of performance frameworks.
  • Build line manager capability in performance management.
  • Support improvement plans and employee development
  • Provide tools, guidelines and trainings.

Career Planning

  • Support regional talent identification initiatives.
  • Partner on training development and engagement.
  • Support retention and succession initiatives.
  • Coordinate career development, rotation, and cross-training.
  • Identify critical roles and support workforce continuity.
  • Analyse turnover trends.

Requirements

Academic Qualifications

  • A tertiary degree in Human Resources or a related field is an advantage

Knowledge, Skills, Training And Experience

  • At least 5 years experience in recruitment and selection processes in a cross country environment
  • Airline experience is an advantage
  • Strong cultural sensitivity with high cross cultural communication ability
  • Demonstrably good judgment and ability to remain impartial
  • Expert knowledge of SEA&O countries legislation related to recruitment and selection
  • Knowledge of compensation and benefits concepts and frameworks
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Efficient and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and demonstrated team player abilities
  • Ablity to work in a highly matrix environment with strong appreciation for different cultural differences
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • A high degree of technological ability
