Title: Regional Sourcing Manager ( Raw materials)

About the Role:
Our client is an US based company and a market leader in the paper-based packaging solutions sector. They have presence both locally as well as internationally.
They are currently looking to hire a Regional Sourcing Manager to be part of a newly established Strategic Sourcing hub within the region.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute regional sourcing strategies for paper and related paper-based raw materials
- Lead global supplier development initiatives to strengthen partnerships and drive continuous improvement
- Lead regional RFQs, contract negotiations, and supplier consolidation initiatives.
- Identify cost optimization opportunities while maintaining quality and sustainability standards.
- Build and manage relationships with regional mills and other paper suppliers across Asia
- Conduct supplier audits and performance reviews where necessary
- Develop dual sourcing strategies and contingency plans to mitigate geopolitical and logistics risks.
- Partner with Sales, Operations, R&D, and Finance to align sourcing strategy with business growth plans.
- Support new product development initiatives with appropriate paper grade selection and cost modelling.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree with at least 8-10 years experience in Category development and strategic sourcing roles
- Pior or current experience in sourcing for kraft paper, paperboard, corrugated packaging, or fibre-based materials would be highly desired
- Proven track record of successfully developing and executing procurement strategies to drive savings and improve profitability.
- Strong understanding of kraft paper quality specifications and testing standards would be advantageous
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with a deep understanding of supplier relationship management.
- Proficiency in procurement tools and systems, with a solid understanding of procurement best practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
