Job Purpose
Lead business development sub-function for the division on a regional basis and provide input to and lead the implementation of functional strategy to generate new/ additional business, maximize profit and grow market share in line with divisional strategy, financial objectives, Group guidelines and policies
Principal Accountabilities
- Help craft and execute the region/division's business development strategy in line with global/divisional business strategy, financial objectives, Group guidelines and policies for medium to large new business opportunities.
- Define and implement business development plans and budgets, account management approach and account plans in line with global/divisional business strategy
- Lead, direct and control highly strategic business development activities and initiatives across the region/division with significant impact on overall results and very high business potential
- Facilitate alignment of regional sector strategies with the global/division's strategy and ensures coordination of global sectors efforts within the division and with Customer Solutions & Innovation, DHL Supply Chain, DHL Express, and DGFF Sales Organization and product team members
- Drive the regional / division's market growth and retention rate
- Support customer strategies and contract negotiations
- Ensure pricing strategy is consistent with the business objectives of the region/division
- Define objective and direct divisional market studies and feasibility studies to assess market potential
- Support team to develop major leads, prepare proposals, negotiate and convert critical business for the region/division
- Build relationships and co-ordination strategies with local units in the region/division and leaders of contributing functions such as HR, Legal, Real Estate, etc. to acquire resources, enhance working processes and productivity and to create integrated sales
- Drive business development synergies within and across regions / divisions and decide on areas for improvement based on pipeline reporting
- Analyze key trends and developments impacting business and identify change needs within the divisional business development strategies
- Steer systems for monitoring competitive activity and dissemination of information and best practices to relevant parties
- Introduce and embed world class practices at the regional /divisional level
- Deliver innovation that directly influence the way the region /division is operating and making money
- Analyze complex issues and significantly improve, change or adapt existing business development methods and techniques.
- Reach agreement with external parties to accept complete proposals and programs where there is little interest in cooperating or participating
- Negotiate and authorize critical agreements/ contracts, changing terms and conditions significantly where required
- Lead, direct, coach and develop performance of the regional /division's business development team in the Semiconductor and Cloud Sector
Knowledge and Skills
- Lead the sub-function on a regional/divisional level for DHL Industrial Projects
- Establish and implement strategies that have short to long-term (1-5 years) impact on business results in alignment with global and functional objectives
- Build the sector presence, revenue, GP/Ebit with a view to collaborating with regional Sector specific team of SME's in the future
- A Self-starter. He/she thinks, plan, and executes a business plan as an entrepreneur would
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, capable of working effectively in multicultural and international project environments.
- Extensive contact and negotiating with other departments and 3rd parties with conflicting objectives
- Develop strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with senior client representatives and DPDHL business leaders
- Influence others across DPDHL and externally as an internally and externally recognized thought leader representing the Group
- Champion cooperation and partnership to provide integrated solutions to problems
- Inform and guide country management, directors and global senior management team members within DHL Industrial Projects and other DPDHL Group entities.
- Introduce ideas and expertise for short to long-term (1-5 years) plans for optimizing the organization, function, or job-family and the talent required to execute strategies within the Semiconductor and Cloud Sector

Qualifications and Experience
- Master's degree a plus
- 8 years of relevant
- Proficient in English with additional language such as Chinese-Mandarin proficiency a plus
