Job Summary
To lead regional sales growth, manage Japanese key account customers, and oversee overseas subsidiary operations in the region. The role acts as a key bridge between Japanese customers, Japan HQ, overseas subsidiaries, regional branches, and Singapore management to ensure business growth, smooth operations, and strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Manage and expand Japanese key account customers in Singapore and overseas markets to drive revenue growth
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with Japanese customers, agents, distributors, and business partners to enhance customer loyalty
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in regional markets to increase market share
- Support overseas subsidiaries and regional branches in sales, operations, customer follow-up, and business planning to ensure alignment with company goals
- Monitor sales performance, order intake, forecasts, customer issues, and market trends to inform strategic decisions
- Coordinate business matters effectively with Japan HQ, Singapore management, and overseas subsidiaries to ensure seamless operations
- Support quotation preparation, pricing strategies, contract negotiation, delivery, installation, and after-sales coordination to optimize customer satisfaction
- Handle customer escalations and major business issues promptly and professionally to maintain strong client relationships
- Prepare comprehensive sales reports, business updates, forecasts, and regional operation reports to track progress and inform stakeholders
- Ensure overseas subsidiaries comply with company direction, policies, and business targets to maintain operational consistency
- Support exhibitions, customer visits, branch meetings, and regional business activities to promote brand presence and customer engagement
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in machinery, manufacturing equipment, automation, precision engineering, machine tools, or industrial products
- Experience managing Japanese customers or Japanese multinational corporation accounts
- Degree in Engineering, Business, Sales & Marketing, International Business, or related field
- Minimum 8 to 12 years experience in sales, business development, or regional operations
- Proficient in English and Japanese languages
