Role Description

The Regional Sales Manager / Regional Commercial Director is responsible for leading regional sales operations, commercial strategy, and revenue growth initiatives across multiple territories or markets. This role oversees sales performance, customer relationship management, market expansion, and cross-functional commercial activities while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regional business objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing regional sales strategies, commercial plans, and revenue growth initiatives
  • Managing regional sales operations, business development activities, and market expansion programs
  • Monitoring sales KPIs, revenue performance, pipeline metrics, and profitability targets across assigned regions
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key clients, distributors, partners, and strategic stakeholders
  • Leading pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and commercial agreement management activities
  • Collaborating with marketing, finance, operations, logistics, and executive teams on business growth initiatives
  • Conducting market research, competitor analysis, and customer trend evaluations to identify expansion opportunities
  • Managing regional budgets, sales forecasting, and operational planning activities
  • Preparing commercial reports, sales analysis, and strategic updates for senior leadership review
  • Driving sales process improvement, CRM optimization, and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Leading regional sales teams, workforce planning, and capability development programs
  • Ensuring compliance with organizational policies, commercial governance standards, and regional regulations
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Management, or related field
  • MBA or advanced commercial qualification is advantageous
  • 6–12 years of experience in sales management, commercial leadership, business development, or regional operations roles
  • Strong understanding of sales strategy, commercial planning, and regional market management
  • Experience leading multi-market sales teams and managing large-scale commercial initiatives
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, sales analytics platforms, and business reporting tools
  • Ability to manage multiple regional priorities and market expansion initiatives effectively
  • Experience in FMCG, healthcare, logistics, manufacturing, retail, technology, or multinational corporate environments is an advantage
