Job Summary:
A leading international producer of specialty chemicals and petrochemicals is seeking a Regional Sales & Market Development Manager to join their Singapore office. This role is responsible for driving direct sales, market expansion, and business development across APAC, with a strong emphasis on polyolefins (PE/PP), circular packaging, and sustainable resin solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Direct Sales: Identify, target, and acquire new direct customers across APAC for prime polyolefins, post-consumer recycled (PCR) compounds, and bio-based resin portfolios.
Value-Chain & Brand Owner Engagement: Lead outreach initiatives targeting major Brand Owners and their plastic converter network to establish commercial partnerships and drive material adoption.
Market Expansion & Strategy: Analyze regional trends, pricing mechanics, and sustainable market dynamics to generate business leads and enter adjacent market segments.
Commercial Execution: Manage the full sales cycle including price quotations, contract negotiations, volume forecasting, and customer presentations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary commercial interface between customers and internal teams including Supply Chain, Customer Service, Technical Service & Development (TS&D), and Regional Marketing.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Business, Polymer Science, or a related discipline
Experience: Minimum 3 to 5+ years of commercial, business development, or technical sales experience in the chemical, petrochemical, or plastics packaging sectors
Product Knowledge: Direct commercial experience in Polyethylene (PE), Polypropylene (PP), PCR compounds, or sustainable packaging materials
Skills: Proactive self-starter with strong entrepreneurial drive, excellent communication/presentation skills, and a proven track record of managing brand-owner/converter relationships
Mobility: Willingness to travel regionally as required
