Job Summary

A regional sales engineering role driving new business development and technical solutions across Singapore and ASEAN markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned sales territories covering Singapore and selected ASEAN markets, including Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
  • Identify, develop, and acquire new customers through structured sales planning, cold calls, and qualified leads.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers by providing ongoing sales and technical support.
  • Prepare and deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and application support to customers.
  • Perform installation and commissioning of sales engineering equipment according to customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with principals and regional sales teams to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
  • Provide technical support, product training, and troubleshooting for customers, including system breakdowns when required.
  • Analyse customer needs and recommend suitable product, equipment, or service solutions.
  • Prepare cost estimates by reviewing customer documentation and consulting internal technical resources.
  • Evaluate cost-benefit ratios and propose improvements to customer equipment, processes, or service applications.
  • Support customer acceptance by demonstrating operational improvements and cost efficiencies.
  • Develop customer capabilities by conducting technical briefings and training sessions.
  • Prepare sales engineering reports by analysing sales performance, expenses, and application trends.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local regulations and anticipate changes in legislation affecting operations.
  • Contribute to departmental effectiveness by identifying improvement opportunities and supporting team objectives.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a sales-related role
  • Hands-on technical aptitude with the ability to understand engineering and product applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused sales mindset.
  • Experience or interest in new customer development and willingness to conduct cold calls.
  • Good presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyse customer requirements and propose innovative solutions.
