Regional Sales Director Asia

Location: Hong Kong or Singapore

CNS Worldwide Executive Search is looking for a Regional Sales Director Asia on behalf of a European luxury lighting company recognized internationally for its innovative architectural lighting solutions.

This strategic leadership role will be responsible for defining and executing the company's commercial strategy across Asia, driving sustainable growth while strengthening the regional distribution and agent network.

Role Overview

The Regional Sales Director will lead the commercial development of the Asian market by refining and executing the regional business strategy in close collaboration with the global leadership team.

This role combines strategic planning, commercial expansion, channel development, and team leadership. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding the company's presence in Asia while ensuring profitable and sustainable growth.

The position also offers the opportunity to contribute to broader strategic initiatives and long-term regional development, making it well suited for an entrepreneurial leader with a hands-on mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Commercial Leadership

  • Define and execute the regional business plan in collaboration with the Chief Commercial Officer and global teams.
  • Set sales objectives, budgets, and action plans aligned with the company's global strategy.
  • Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share across Asia.
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop and implement market expansion strategies in key Asian markets.

Channel & Network Development

  • Manage and develop the existing network of agents and distributors across Asia.
  • Identify and appoint new partners to strengthen regional coverage.
  • Define performance targets and implement structured performance monitoring.
  • Ensure strong and consistent brand positioning across markets.

Team Leadership

  • Manage and develop a Sales Manager based in Singapore.
  • Provide coaching, leadership, and performance management.
  • Foster a results-driven and high-performance sales culture.
  • Scale and structure the regional team as the business expands.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Ensure alignment with headquarters in Spain on pricing, product strategy, and commercial priorities.
  • Work closely with technical, customer service, finance, and logistics teams.
  • Provide regular sales reporting, forecasting, and pipeline visibility.
  • Support strategic partnerships and key account negotiations.

Profile

  • Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role in Asia.
  • Strong track record managing distributors and agent networks.
  • Experience in luxury lighting, architectural lighting, or adjacent premium design sectors is highly desirable.
  • Experience working within international organizations and cross-cultural environments.
  • Strategic mindset with strong execution capabilities.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Fluent in English; additional Asian languages are a plus. Spanish is considered an advantage.
