Job Summary
Drive sales growth within the assigned region through active customer engagement, project identification, account management, tender participation, receivables management, market intelligence gathering, and close collaboration with internal stakeholders. Responsible for developing new business opportunities, strengthening customer relationships, expanding market presence, and achieving sales and profitability targets.
Responsibilities
Business Development & Project Sales
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the Power, Data Centre, and Government sectors.
- Develop project pipelines through engagement with end-users, government agencies, consultants, contractors, and system integrators.
- Promote company products and solutions to influence specifications and project requirements at the early design stage.
- Drive project sales from project identification through specification, tendering, award, and execution stages.
- Maintain good rapport with both customers and factories representatives to solicit feedback, services/support and other market information.
- Achieve assigned sales, profitability, and receivables targets.
Account & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including:
- Government agencies and statutory bodies
- Data centre operators and contractors
- Utility companies and power industry players
- EPC contractors and system integrators
- Main contractors and M&E contractors
- Manage and grow strategic customer accounts within the assigned territory.
- Conduct regular customer visits, technical presentations, and business reviews.
Tender & Contract Management
- Monitor and identify upcoming tenders and project opportunities through different government portals and platform
- Participate in RFQ, Biddings and tender submissions.
- Coordinate preparation of quotations, technical proposals, commercial documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Review tender specifications and provide recommendations to maximize project win rates.
- Support contract negotiations and project award processes.
Market Development & Intelligence
- Monitor market trends, government initiatives, industry developments, and competitor activities.
- Identify potential infrastructure, power, utility, smart city, and data centre investments within the region.
- Provide market intelligence and project updates to management.
- Track major construction, electrical infrastructure, and digital infrastructure projects.
Project & Customer Support
- Coordinate closely with indoor sales team and finance to ensure successful project delivery.
- Follow up on project progress, delivery schedules, and customer requirements.
- Resolve customer concerns and provide post-sales support.
- Maintain customer satisfaction and strengthen long-term business relationships.
Receivables & Commercial Management
- Monitor project billing and collections.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and receivables.
- Support finance and credit control teams in resolving payment-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with company credit policies and commercial requirements.
Sales Reporting & Administration
- Update sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions to the reporting manager.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, project pipelines, tenders, and sales opportunities in
- Prepare and maintain accurate sales forecasts, project tracking reports, and project pipeline reviews.
- Provide regular updates on project status, sales performance, and market developments.
- Undertake any other tasks as and when assigned by the immediate supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or related discipline.
- Technical qualifications related to Power Systems, Data Centre Infrastructure, Electrical Distribution, or Critical Facility Solutions will be an added advantage.
- Professional sales or project management certifications are advantageous.
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in outdoor sales, business development, key account management, or project sales.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and developing new business opportunities.
- Experience managing customer accounts and handling commercial negotiations.
- Strong understanding of project sales and tender management.
- Basic knowledge of electrical power distribution, critical power systems, data centre infrastructure, or industrial solutions.
- Self-driven and capable of managing project opportunities independently from prospecting through project award.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage consultants, contractors, developers, government agencies, and end-users.
- Results-oriented with strong business development and commercial acumen.
