Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

The Regional Product Marketing & Management Manager, being the owner of assigned products, is primarily responsible for ensuring that products are launched effectively, marketed successfully and tendered properly, generating the intended profitability and impact sustainably.

The incumbent of this job is also tasked to own and drive the success of the wellness product portfolio.

CRITICALWORK FUNCTIONS & KEY TASKS

1. Products Marketing

a) For existing products and new products that have been decided for launching, work with the Regional Director and Business Development to formulate products marketing strategies and initiatives to:

. influence demand creation

. expand and refresh product offerings (entailing research on customers needs, receptiveness of product offerings and future demand for product offerings)

. launch related products

. drive the adoption and sales of the products.

b) Working collaboratively with the Regional Director, develop the product value proposition and positioning for each product. This entails:

. analysing and understanding the market conditions and competition landscape

. analysing and understanding customers evolving needs, profiles, perceptions and buying behaviours

. assessing the market awareness of sleep products

. selecting the target markets and customer segments and defining them

. determining the product pricings, benefits and terms

c) Working collaboratively with the Regional Marketing Manager, plan and execute strategic marketing communications to increase the awareness and adoption of the sleep products/solutions.

d) Prepare or oversee the preparation of marketing and product collaterals, ensuring that the contents are up-to-date and comply with the brand positioning and specifications.

e) Collaborate with and support the country-based Business Development and Sales Teams to drive the sales of products (include plan and organise marketing initiatives and events to generate sales leads, monitor the success of the marketing campaigns and conversion rates and recommend follow up actions).

f) Track and analyse the performance of each product in details to generate insights for business decision-making and strategic planning.

g) Manage/provide responses to product-related inquiries from sales personnel such as product features, functionalities, pre- and post-sales services and support, pricings and discounts.

h) Continually engage doctors and health care professionals and develop them as Key Opinion Leaders and nudge patients as advocates for the Company.

2. Products Management and Support

a) Undertake the ownership of the products assigned and oversee

. the performance and functioning of the products, ensuring that the products perform well technically as intended and issues, both technical and non-technical, are being addressed

. the commercial performance (sales) of the products, ensuring that the intended results are achieved.

b) Prepare or oversee the preparation of training materials and contents as well as assessment requirements and direct the roll out of such training and assessment to help ensure that Sales, Clinical Applications and Customer Service personnel are familiar with the products.

c) Working collaboratively with RCQA (may have to deal with regulatory restrictions and terms), ensure that the products are timely and currently registered and licensed.

d) Collaborate with the Operations Team to ensure that the products are secured and delivered timely to TAS, stored safely and made available promptly to customers.

e) Project the demand for various products and collaborate with and advise the Operations Team to make the required orders in a timely manner, ensuring that the products are optimally stocked.

f) Update and coordinate with the Engineering Services Team to ensure that they are familiar with the technical features and functioning of the products and ready to provide technical services and support as needed.

g) Periodically(or as triggered by developments) review the performance of various products and make appropriate recommendations (eg discontinue, phase out gradually, repackage, reprice, reinforce marketing/push, seek/ride on opportunities)

3. Management of Suppliers

a) Engage and manage suppliers to maintain mutually beneficial relations and enlist their help and sponsorships when necessary

b) Negotiate terms and pricings with suppliers (final terms and pricings to be decided by Regional Director)

c) Serve as the contact point between the internals sales personnel and customers and the suppliers

4. Wellness Products

a) Take ownership in starting and driving the wellness product portfolio.

b) Analyse the market demand for wellness products, identify plausible products and evaluate their potential and economics and make appropriate recommendations.

c) Source for the products, negotiate for terms and pricings and secure the supply.

d) Determine the products packaging (and bundling if appropriate), pricings and formulate the marketing plan (including product positioning, marketing communications and collaterals)

e) Direct and work with the sales teams and retail outlets to prepare them to sell the products (training, merchandising, etc).

f) Monitor and analyse the sales of the products and evaluate their profitability and value add and recommend/determine follow up actions.

5. People Management and Development

a) Guide and advise Sales, Clinical Applications and Customer Service personnel to hone their knowledge of the products.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

(a) Degree in Marketing, Product Marketing or Sciences or in related fields

(b) Minimum 8 years of product marketing and management experience, preferably in healthcare industry dealing withmedical products, medical equipment, or consumer healthcare products

(c) Strong in execution, resource management and project management
