Job Description

About the Role

This is a greenfield opportunity for a procurement professional ready to make their mark. As the first procurement hire within the Supply Chain function, you will be instrumental in designing and building the procurement infrastructure from scratch.

  • Build the foundation — Design and implement procurement processes, policies, supplier management frameworks, and purchasing workflows from the ground up, covering both direct and indirect categories
  • Own end-to-end sourcing — Manage the full sourcing lifecycle for raw materials, packaging, equipment, and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery
  • Lead RFP processes — Drive supplier evaluation, selection, and onboarding across categories and regions
  • Negotiate and contract — Support contract negotiations to secure commercially sound and compliant agreements with suppliers
  • Drive supplier performance — Collaborate closely with vendors to continuously improve on cost, quality, and delivery metrics
  • Partner with Finance — Monitor procurement spend, support budget management, and proactively identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Support OEM factory partnerships — Work with OEM factories to ensure supply continuity and manage supply chain risk, including supporting the setup of a new manufacturing facility in Malaysia
  • Champion SAP adoption — Support the ongoing SAP implementation and drive procurement-related system and process improvements
  • Ensure compliance — Uphold adherence to company policies and relevant regulatory standards including Halal certification, SFA guidelines, and F&B industry requirements

Must-Haves:

  • Degree qualification with 3–5 years of procurement experience, preferably in FMCG or Food & Beverage manufacturing (shorter shelf-life categories strongly preferred)
  • Proven confidence and capability to build a procurement function from scratch, covering both direct and indirect spend.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP (ERP/MRP systems)
  • Experience working with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and warehouse operations
  • Strong negotiation skills, commercial acumen, and attention to detail
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, less structured environment with limited precedent or play book
