Regional Payroll

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Regional Payroll to manage end-to-end payroll operations across multiple APAC markets. Reporting to the Head of HR Operations, Asia, this role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing while partnering closely with HR, Finance and external payroll vendors.

The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, hands-on in payroll operations, and experienced in managing complex multi-country payroll environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing across multiple APAC countries.
• Support employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, offboarding, salary changes and payroll adjustments.
• Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with local statutory requirements across different markets.
• Coordinate with HR, Finance and external payroll vendors to resolve payroll issues and improve processes.
• Manage payroll data and maintain accurate records in Workday.
• Support expatriate payroll matters, including allowances and cross-border payroll scenarios.
• Participate in regional payroll projects and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of hands-on payroll experience in an in-house corporate environment.
• Experience managing payroll across multiple APAC countries.
• Familiarity with Workday or other HRIS/payroll systems.
• Strong understanding of payroll compliance and statutory requirements.
• Experience supporting medium to large employee populations is preferred.
• Detail-oriented, highly confidential and able to work with sensitive payroll information.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting payroll for medium to large organizations (1,000+ employees preferred).
• Exposure to expatriate payroll and cross-border employment arrangements.
• Practical knowledge of payroll regulations across markets such as Singapore, China and Hong Kong etc.
• Experience working in a regional HR Operations or Shared Services environment.
• Professional payroll certifications or relevant HR qualifications are an advantage.
