A leader in Shipping and Logistics company is currently expanding and looking for highly qualified candidates for the
Regional Legal Compliance Specialist position based in Singapore.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain compliance policies, standards, and procedures aligned with current laws and best practices.
- Oversee policy reviews, updates, and approvals in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Lead compliance training and communications across internal teams and third-party partners.
- Monitor regulatory developments across jurisdictions and recommend appropriate updates.
- Establish and uphold a governance structure to ensure consistent policy enforcement.
- Manage internal investigations on potential breaches of law, policy, or ethicsoverseeing fact-finding, documentation, and confidentiality.
- Propose and track corrective actions post-investigation.
- Design and implement compliance assessment and monitoring programs.
- Work closely with audit, risk, and operations teams to strengthen internal controls and compliance frameworks.
- Prepare reports on compliance trends and risks for leadership review.
Requirements
- Degree in Law, Business, or related discipline.
- At least 8 years of experience in compliance, governance, regulatory affairs, or internal audit.
- Experience leading compliance functions or initiatives in a multinational or cross-functional environment.
- Strong knowledge of global compliance frameworks, risk assessment, and investigation procedures.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication and stakeholder engagement ability.
