Kerry Consulting is partnering with a fast-growing chemical distribution group to appoint a newly created Regional Industry Manager - Semiconductor & Electronics, based in either Singapore or Malaysia. As part of its strategic growth agenda, the organisation is investing in the development of a dedicated Electronics business and is seeking an entrepreneurial Regional Industry Manager to lead this exciting initiative.

This is a unique opportunity to build a regional business (primarily SEA) from the ground up, shaping the commercial strategy, developing supplier partnerships, and establishing a strong presence across the electronics manufacturing ecosystem. Covering key markets across Asia, the successful individual will work closely with customers, principals and internal stakeholders to create a scalable platform within a high-growth, technology-driven sector.

Responsibilities

Reporting to senior regional leadership, you will be responsible for defining and executing the go-to-market strategy for the Electronics business across Asia. You will identify attractive market segments within semiconductors, printed circuit boards, electronics manufacturing services and advanced materials, while developing a differentiated value proposition for customers and supplier partners.

You will drive business development activities by securing strategic customer relationships with OEMs, EMS providers and manufacturers, building a sustainable opportunity pipeline and converting new business into long-term commercial partnerships. Working closely with global principals, you will identify, evaluate and onboard new suppliers while developing a competitive portfolio aligned with evolving market needs.

In addition, you will collaborate with technical, operations and supply chain teams to support product qualification, application development and customer implementation. As the regional subject matter expert for Electronics, you will champion the business internally, provide market insights to leadership, and contribute to the development of future organisational capabilities as the business continues to expand.

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess a degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline, together with at least ten years of commercial experience within electronics materials, specialty chemicals or closely related industries. You will have demonstrated success in building or expanding a business, product portfolio or market segment, supported by an established network across the electronics ecosystem, including semiconductor manufacturers, PCB producers, EMS providers and OEMs.

You should bring strong commercial acumen, technical credibility and the ability to engage effectively with customers on application-driven solutions. Experience working with global principals, developing supplier relationships and operating independently within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment will be highly advantageous. A strategic mindset, resilience and the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple countries will be essential for success in this regional role.
